Do not make any new purchases for your baby’s room, prior to making a list of what is necessary. You will want some nice cozy sheets to make the crib inviting, and some light blankets and a comforter to keep the baby warm. You should also buy bumper pads; they go around the crib and protect the baby’s head from bumps.
Painting the nursery is an exceptionally important part of the decorating, because it ties the decor together, but just remember that it needs to be done well before the baby is born. Babies should never be exposed to toxic paint fumes, so have the paint color selected and painting finished right after you’ve purchased the baby bedding.
